We are open, but we are only renting kayaks, and we are restricting boaters to Barton Creek. It's just too windy out on the open lake.

We will be closed Saturday, Sept 13, because of anticipated high winds from Hurricane Ike.

We're open seven days per week now, weather permitting. If it's a marginal day, call 512 478-3852 to make sure we're there.

January looks like a washout so far. We had to pull the canoes up higher on the bank to save them from flooding, and they're remain their for awhile so that we can do some work at our site. We're still planning to open seven days a week as soon as the weather moderates.

Wow! What great weather. We usually close this time of year and open only on nice weekends, but since the forcast for the next week is outstanding, I have arrange for employees to open for the next week. After that, we'll see if the weather returns to normal.

We are happy to report that the Austin City Council voted to keep us as concessionaires. They felt that there were certain intangibles, such as our 36 years of service to the city, which trumped any other considerations.
